The Magic School Motorcoach Rides Once more is an blithe children'southward web series, based on the volume series of the same name by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen. In the sequel to Scholastic's The Magic School Bus, the flagship Dr. Valerie Frizzle (at present Professor Frizzle) gets her Ph.D and retires from teaching at Walkerville Elementary School. She then hires her younger sister, Miss Fiona Frizzle, to teach the course, and passes the keys of the Magic Schoolhouse Bus over to her. The kids journeying on exciting new field-trips, discovering new locations, creatures, time periods and more to larn well-nigh the wonders of science, educating viewers forth the way, on the eponymous Motorcoach.

In 2014, the series was first appear by Netflix and Scholastic Media, and was titled The Magic School Bus 360°.[10] The new iteration of the franchise features a modernized "Ms. Frizzle" (replacing Valerie with her younger sister Fiona) and a loftier-tech bus that stresses modern inventions such as robotics, wearables and camera engineering science. The hope is to captivate children's imaginations and motivate their interest in the sciences.[11] It was produced past 9 Story Media Group.[12] Producer Stuart Stone, who voiced Ralphie in the original series, stated that The Magic School Bus 360° will feature some of the original vocalism actors in different roles. The show'southward vox cast is based in Los Angeles, California, U.s. and Toronto, Ontario, Canada with Susan Blu as the Los Angeles voice manager and Alyson Courtroom as the Toronto phonation director.[13] In February 2017, Kate McKinnon was cast in the role of Ms. Frizzle (without clarifying it was Fiona, the younger sister of Valerie, now Professor Frizzle, still voiced by Tomlin). The series then inverse its name to The Magic Schoolhouse Coach Rides Again.[xiv] The series was released on Netflix on September 29, 2017.[ane] The second season was released on April thirteen, 2018.[ii]

Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton sings the theme vocal.[fifteen] Phoebe Terese, a graphic symbol from the original series, is replaced by a new student named Jyoti, as information technology was revealed that Phoebe transferred dorsum to her old school.[16] [17] The episode endings feature question and reply sessions with Professor Frizzle, echoing the segments near viewers calling the producer which accompanied the original series on commercial-gratis channels.[18] Despite clarifying some creative license taken in the episode, these scenes are nonetheless set up in a universe with magical vehicles.[19] Among other changes, the students still wearable the same apparel every day only they practice not resemble those from the original series.[20] Three 45–infinitesimal specials were released in 2020: the start special The Magic School Autobus Rides Again: Kids in Infinite was released on August vii,[21] the second named The Magic School Charabanc Rides Over again: The Frizz Connexion on October twenty[22] and a third titled The Magic School Motorcoach Rides Over again: In the Zone on Dec 26.[23] The artstyle was changed for the specials every bit the characters have no outlines and the lighting and shading are more than detailed.
